Valentino's - worth another shot.

I read on this board a while ago about half a dozen people who firmly disliked Valentino's, and yet I tried it tonight with a friend who wanted to go there, and was delighted.

I had orecchiette with something spinach-like and shrimp in a light sauce I couldn't discern the contents of but which was really flavorful and cooked just right. The shrimp did not taste quite the same as the rest of the dish, which made me wonder if they were cooked *in* the same pan, but all was tasty. My friend had cappellini with a red sauce that she also really enjoyed. The service was quick and exceptionally friendly, the food was delicious and these entrees were very large and only $15 a plate.

I don't know whether I'm an odd woman out or whether they've just gotten their act together but I will definitely be going back.
