Last night we went to Valentino's for dinner (which lasted 4+ hours). Unbelievable, after 20+ years and over 100+ visits to Piero's restaurants this was memorable in many ways.
Dinner: Primi Menu (still have never seen a menu since 81)
Crostino w/ Burrata and Osetra Cav
Scallop Pearl w/ Farro & Sicilian Pesto
Balsamic Seared Ahi w/ roasted shallots & Almond sauce
Warm John Dory Carpaccio w/ Aspargus
Wild Mushroom FLAN tortino
Duck Crespella (crepe)
Spaghetti alla Chitarra w/Cipollotto Zucchini and Ricotta
Rav di Granciale w/Chantarelles
Risotto w/ Sausage and Fava Beans
Braised Veal Cheeks w/ Potato Cialda
Castelorosso Cheese (Piemonte)
Desert Sampler (don't ask because I can't possibly describe it, many things, all great)
Cannoli Siciliani (really amazing)
DOUBLE EXPRESSO (missed breakfast today, still full)
Wines were 90 Solia , 85 Amarone, etc
