Just a quick note of thanks to all who posted their cheese fondue tips below. I pretty much followed Hungry Celeste's recipe but subbed potato starch for corn starch and added Etorki (one of my favourite cheeses) to the Gruyere and Emmental - soooo good. We served it with a bunch of blanched veg, green apple slices and baguette alongside a small grilled Delmonico steak and some arugula tossed with EVOO, sea salt and toasted sesame seeds. After a pre-dinner skate at a nearby outdoor rink and with Annie Hall in the dvd player, it was the perfect, cozy Valentine's dinner.
I had planned to further clog our arteries with banana nutella crepes for dessert but we couldn't do it...so we had them for breakfast this morning. Yum!
