A few years ago on Chowhound, I posted this sad note:

For those who are not familiar, Vachon is a Quebec based company that produces snack cakes in the vain of Hostess Twinkies. Only, at least when I was growing up, they were infinitely superior to Hostess products.
As the note above indicated, for some time, the cakes that Vachon was making in no way resembled the product I grew up with.
On a lark, I recently bought a Super Joe Louis (chocolate cake filed with a flat creme filling and covered in chocolate). To my absolute shock, it tasted and looked like the old cake! I had to pinch myself. It appears they've gone back to the old recipe.
I then went and bought the famed "Lune Moon" (vanilla cake filled with creme). Again, the cake was back to the way it was! Delicious vanilla taste!!!
The 'creme' filling tastes a little different and there is probably too much of it, but the cake itself is perfect.
I am so excited.
Obviously enough people complained, and after years of making complete junk, Vachon came to its senses.
Thank you for that, Vachon!
I plan to write to the company, too.
