Vacation Restaurant Blitz Itinerary

Baldy | Jul 20, 2003 01:47 AM

So after perusing the posts here I've come up with what I think is a semi-bulletproof list of places to hit in our brief 4.5 day visit, given that we're trying to do this on some semblance of a budget:

Breakfast:
Orange
Kitsch'n On Roscoe
Brett's
Jim's Grill

Snacks to soak up beer:
Super Dawg
Hot Doug's
Geno's East (Wells St. location)
Lou Malnati's (Wells St. location also; how handy)
Taqueria la Oaxaquena
Quesadillas Dona Lolis
Restaurante Frijolinos Taqueria
Taqueria Atotonilco #2
Taqueria Los Mogotes de Michoacan
(Hey, I'm from New Orleans; we don't get even passable Mexican food here so I'm making the most of it)
Al's No. 1 Italian Beef (Taylor Ave. location)
Manny's Coffee Shop & Deli

Real lunch:
Frontera Grill
Paul Zakopane Harnas
Resi's Bierstube

Dinner:
Blackbird
Operetta
Sabri Nehari
Paprikash

Hooch:
Goose Island (Clybourn location)
Delilah's
Hopleaf
Map Room
Tuman's Alcohol Abuse Center
Twisted Spoke

Other:
Margie's Candies
Mario's Lemonade
The coconut ice guy at the corner of Milwaukee and Kimball

Have I made any terrible choices or left out anything crucial?
