(posted this already on the mid-atlantic board, but so far no replies.)
Will be heading up to lake seneca in a couple weeks, staying in geneva for the most part, with a trip to watkins glen and a day/night in penn yan. It's my first time in the region. Any tips on chow? Would love to hear about good places to pick up picnic fare, maybe a place for a *special* meal? Any wineries stand out more than others? Any good farms for pick-your-own (peaches please, if possible!)? Anything I'm not thinking of? we'll also be there for the seneca whale watch one night...should we go hungry? What should we look for?
thanks in advance!
