It's at Broadway and 100th. Magnificent and sophisticated (by UWS standards, anyway) pre-Christmas meal there: hot, dense, subtle black lentil dal; malabar fish masala, a hefty, zingy dish with spicy chunks of salmon; and a nice kachumber salad. Alas, dinner there tonight was utterly disappointing. The same menu selections were drab and seemed prepared by a totally different cook. Same lovely people, but we're hoping this place will return to its opening-day glory.
