Two and a half pounds of frozen pork shoulder.
Stupidly put it in the freezer without cubing it. Only a very little defrosted after 36 hours!
Need to get it in the slow cooker for Rick Bayless' Guajillo Spiced Pork and Potatoes by 10 am.
Company arriving at 4 pm.
Had 5 - 8 inches of snow last night and continuing, no way to get to the store for fresh until who knows when.
WHAT CAN I DO?
Can I use the microwave on such a big solid block? If so, how? (microwave is none too robust).
Can I put the meat under running water?
I had planned every detail for the dinner ---- beans in the fridge, two dozen tortillas, etc etc --- except for the meat staying frozen!
