Upscale vegan restaurant recommendation?

Looking for vegan cuisine in Manhattan. Upscale restaurant, money is no object, preferably something new with some hype. A group of friends will be visiting, we'll hopefully be having dinners at per se, Nobu, Jean Georges etc. so it needs to be a reasonably sophisticated menu with a comfortable dining room. Should I not be able to get a table at per se on the host's birthday, any recommendations for an equally over-the-top alternative? EMP is what I'm thinking. Thanks!
