My husband and I will be in New Orleans next weekend for four days and want to experience two of the absolute best restaurants in the area. We will be staying car-less on Frenchmen, so something we can walk to or get to by cab would be great.
Here is what we're looking for:
*Under $150 For Two (including tax, tip, drinks & dessert)
*Southern/Creole/Cajun/Seafood Entree Options (no exclusively Italian/French menus)
*Bustling Yet Not Casual (we like a sense of "life" in restaurants, but don't want to sacrifice quality of service)
*Unique/Very Nice Decor (would love a restaurant that "feels" like we're in New Orleans, however you interpret that)
*Wait OK (we'll get there early in the evening)
*Great Service (not snooty, not overwhelming, but attentive)
Here are a few friends of ours have mentioned. We can only splurge, at the most, two nights, so please tell me your top two (whether from this list or your own). Also, let me know dress code. Lastly, if you have adverse opinions to any on this list, please give me a heads-up. Thanks!
