Went to topwater grill in San Leon awhile back and really enjoyed the experience. Its a real place in an area with many fakes. The owner owns his shrimp boats and serves up excellent fried shrimp. Also, the appetizer of stuffed fried jalepeno is very good and homeade to boot (can you believe it?!) Just a hint of sarcasm there. Many people raved about the fish taco's and even though they were good I would go with the fried shrimp just about everytime I went.

Hugo's-Had a great meal there a couple weeks ago. We had an appetizer platter for the table of 6 and everything was great. The sopas with mole chicken, cochinita pibil and something else were very good. One person ordered carnitas which I thought was a little odd especially since it such a peasant type dish turned out to be excellent. My wife had the snapper veracruz and it was well done and tasted very fresh. I had a lamb shank braised in a maguay leave with peppers and it was great.
IMO the highlight of a meal at hugo's is the chocolate flan, what a great dish.
Breakfast Klub-The chicken wings are awesome!
