Update on Mid-Peninsula and Stone Crabs

Ribdog | Nov 15, 2003 03:23 PM

My brother and his wife were in town from Indiana and wanted some sefood. So I said how bout some stone crab. They were real happy with that suggestion so we headed off to Mid-Peninsula Seafood.

MPS had stone crab claws in both the large and medium size. My wife and I both got a medium stone crab claw dinner which included fries, or rice and cole slaw along with hush puppies. These were my first claws of the season so I was ready. We ordered them hot. They were excellent! Of course I always have to crack all the claws and pull the meat out for my wife. I think she is just faking that she can't crack the claws.

My brother got a pound for an appetizer and then got a fried scallop dinner also.

Everything was great as usual and I will definitely be back. BTW, the medium claw dinner was $15.99 which is not a bad price in my opinion for the other prices I have seen around. My brother had just been over to Disney and said Fulton Fish Market had a pound of Large claws for an appetizer for $50!!! Give me a break.
