update on La Paz suggestions, no car, atmospheric, but real?

Hi all:

I will be in La Paz, Baja for one night in a few weeks. The rest of my meals of the trip will be on a private chartered boat, (meaning they will be good, hearty and somewhat plain), so when we get into La Paz we will be ready to live it up! Done a search on the board and see Los Arcos, the other suggestions seem to be a ways out of town...

anyway, am looking for someplace with the real thing as far as Mexican food goes, a great tequila selection, and a nice atmosphere. It doesn't have to be fancy, but it should be relaxing with a full menu (taquerias I have plenty of here at home in the Mission/SF). Basically, we are looking for what we here in the bay area call that elusive 'nice, sit-down Mexican restaurant'....either seafood or meat emphasis is fine, but seafood would seem to be the logical choice for the location...

Any ideas? We won't have a car and can cab it but would prefer not to go too far from the center of town...(I am assuming there is a center of town: this will be my first visit to La Paz). However, we are quite willing to venture off of the tourist track, and my Spanish is more than up to the task if that matters....

gracias a todos!
