Hello all --
I am planning a weekend in NYC for some visitors (3 people total) who have been here a few times, but wanted to try some new places (for them). I am a bit lost, and was hoping for some tips:
Megu -- I just read through some posts here with some positive opinions but concerns over price. So, if I avoid the pricey (at least $120) tasting menu, will we be missing out? And although someone asked for suggestion what to order outside the tasting menu, I am clueless as to how to structure the meal. I know that I want to order a few items from the Bincho Tan Grill, some sushi items, but what order (and any other recommendations on particular items/pairings)?
wd-50 -- I have read some positive feedback here on the experience lately and the desserts, has anyone had the nine-course tasting menu? Was it a good experience, or is it better to order off the menu? Any other suggestions off the current menu?
Two other things: Does anyone know a good place for dessert and a drink in the West Village that would work for an older couple? Also, any good midtown places for a quick interesting lunch (perhaps pho or ban mi (sp?)?
Thanks for any help!!
