Using unpasteurize soy sauce as a starter culture?

I'm interested in making my own soy sauce and I'm wondering if I could use unpasteurized soy sauce as a starter for the new batch. I heard there are different strains, but I can't find where to find them online. Are the cultures inside the unpasteurized soy sauce the same as the cultures I need for making soy sauce? Is it possible to obtain wild cultures without using unpasteurized soy sauce in the same manner as making a starter from wild yeasts?
