My wife and I recently took a tip down from Boston and ate at Per Se (somehow got reservations same day) and the Spotted Pig. We truly enjoyed our experiences and are planning on swinging by the SP for lunch on our one night visit this weekend. We are staying in TriBeCa and are looking for another unique dining experince in the lower half of manhattan. We are not limited to the type of cuisine and would rather enjoy a simple, extremely well prepared meal in a casual setting (like SP) than a complex, uninspired meal at an established higher end restaurant (an unfortunate theme in Boston). At the same time if there is place that is more formal, but a unique experience, e.g. WD-50, KC @ Beacon, we'd love to hear about it.
Thanks in advance.
