Just had take-out lunch from a new place on 17th between B'Way and 5th Ave, "Food Attitude." If you can get past the terrible name, they're all French inside, with an amazing assortment of fancy baked goods -- cakes, cookies, croissants -- and some nice-looking sandwiches, etc.

I got a delicious onion quiche. Flaky buttery crust, and the filling was nice and soft with soft, sweet onions (not one of these hard blocks of quiche with crunchy half-cooked onions).

It came with a salad that had a surprisingly good dressing, and they gave me two chocolate-chip cookies for free. These aren't what the French do best (they could have been a little crispier), so when I go back maybe I'll try their dessert bar, which lets you make up your own dessert from an assortment of shells, fillings, and toppings.

Anyway, I was pretty impressed, and it's cheaper than the City Bakery next door.
