Uncooked frosting recipe needed for Dorie Greenspan's gingerbread buche de noel

I have several Christmas parties to attend Christmas Eve and Christmas day and I want to bring the buche de noel for dessert for Christmas dinner. My plan is to make the log (with the filling) and the frosting the night before and frost and decorate the log the next day. For a variety of reasons I do not want to frost night before nor do I want to make the frosting at the place where I will be serving it. Does anyone have a good suggestion for an alternative that I can prepare the night before?
