I am graduating from the University of MD in May. I just found out my sibling is not coming to the dinner I planned months ago. I now--at the last minute--have to figure out how to accommodate a Friday night dinner (the original party was on Thursday to avoid traffic, accommodate the late ceremony etc.).
The ceremony is at 4:00pm with a reception afterwards. I live in DC and my family is staying in Bethesda. I think 8:00pm is the earliest we can make a reservation taking into account the ceremony, reception, traffic etc.
1) What direction should we head? A friend suggested looking for a restaurant in Brookland as it is close to campus but probably won't be swarmed with grads & families. Agree? Suggestions for restaurants in this area?
2) One member of the party is a pretty picky eater so an American or Italian place is probably best though at this point I am so desperate I am open to anything. Similarly I was looking at $25 or under entrees but will consider more expensive as I am desperate. It is important that the restaurant not be too loud
I'm open to other ideas that meet the criteria I've mentioned. And Obv the place has to still have an opening for 6-7 people..
Thank you so much!
