went to Ulysses last night. I checked for postings on this board and didn't see much, so thought I'd chime in. Great new place for drinks and a casual bite in the Wall Street area! It takes up a big chunk of Stone Street with tables, umbrellas and chairs and has a huge indoor area as well. Perfect on a nice afternoon/evening to meet friends for drinks. The menu even encourages it - they offer buckets of 24 beers, pitchers and platters for 2 of finger food (fried calamari, etc.,) in addition to individual orders of burgers, steak sandwiches, fried oysters/clams sandwiches and a raw bar. Prices were $10-$15 for sandwiches and bottles of beer about $5 apiece. We had a couple of beers, including a good German hefe weiss, and a fried oyster sandwich and a steak sandwich, both with fries. Fries weren't bad and the sandwiches were decent to good (nothing to write home about, but satisfying). The inside of the bar/restaurant is very cool. Lots of wood and nooks and crannies to hang out for drinks with friends. Owned by Puck Fair guys.
