My husband and I are planning a very fun and hopefully educational food tour of the Los Angeles area. We live in the SFvalley and really need to expand our culinary horizons. For example we've never been to Philippe's. Thanks to the posts here I know that when we get there later this month, I have to have the lamb sandwich.
What I'd like to know is if you were taking a culinary tour of Los Angeles between Christmas Eve and New Years Day, what places would you ultimately not want to miss? We've never tried Korean, have limited experience with Thai and we have no idea what Pho is. We're interested in trying more than one new place each day.
We're not into buffets or all you can eat at all.
We've got New Years Eve and New Years Day covered.
Thanks in advance for the education!
