Back in the ‘90’s, my wife and I lived in England. Whenever we’d eat anywhere that had a salad bar, there was always a dish of little boiled potatoes tossed in a simple mayo-style dressing. They were everywhere.
It wasn’t what I’d call a proper potato salad, because there were no pickles or onions or anything like that-just a creamy dressing and maybe some chives or parsley.
Anyone familiar with this? It was so ubiquitous, I never really thought about it much, but now I want to make them. I’m wondering if they were simply tossed in some thinned-out Heinz salad cream.
