So much for everyone's secret hope that Anthony would reconsider closing his restaurant for good and will stay open for another year.. I don't even know if that building exists anymore or not.
My question is to all those who own - or have perused - Uglesich's cookbook: is the recipe for the "creamy sauce" that goes with his epiphanic shrimp and grits in it? If it is, I'm definitely buying the entire cookbook. The essence of New Orleans was in that sauce: sinfully rich, tantalizingly mysterious, exceedingly unhealthy and just so.. so goddamn good.. Sigh.
