Udupi Village-Montclair; question about South Indian dessert

I visited Udupi Village on Bloomfield Ave. (near Park Ave.) in Montclair for the first time a few days ago. Had their lunch buffet. It was very good. Maybe not quite as good as Madras Mahal in Manhattan, but well done for NJ.

It was all vegetarian, like so much other South Indian food, and I didn't even miss the meat.

As part of the buffet, they had a delicious, fantastic dessert item of very thin noodles in a yellowish creamy liquid--I think it might've been called "sayyam payassat" or something like that. Can anybody clarify? It had a description written and posted above the steam tray saying it involved "rice sticks" so I wonder if they meant rice noodles. Anyway, I've never had that before and it was great.
