Udipi, South Indian Vegetarian cuisine in Artesia

highly recommend Udipi, which lies on Pioneer Ave in Artesia. Cuisine is similar to dishes my friend from Madras cooks, so they don't have the Northern Indian staples you might be used to. If you don't mind vegetarian, I liked the food here better than Shan, Ashoka, Woodlands (another South Indian place), and Bombay Sweets and Spices (thali), which are all locations on Pioneer ave.

recs:
dosas (with spring vegetables)
udupathum (spelled wrong) (large pancake --- try the tomato one)
okra curry
eggplant curry
rice in yogurt/cucumber mixture

ok, but not great:
idli appetizer
vermicelli with cashews/raisins dessert (too sweet)
