OK, so I have done Morton's, Ruth's on Broad, and S&W, and find them all too corporate. Dickie Brennan's is lovely, but parking in the FQ, espcially adjacent to Bourbon, is a nightmare. I know some like Chateaubriand, but it leaves me cold.

So now I think it is time to try the old-fashioned, typically local places, and I need some help. I have previously asked about Young's in Slidell, and the board, as usual, was spot on as to its character and quality (dark, reputation better than reality).

So please enlighten me about Charlie's, Crescent City, Steak Knife, Mr. John's, and though I don't put iy in the same category, Crazy Johnnie's, or any other's you might suggest I try.

Thanks in advance for your opinions.
