Twin Cities: need some new ideas

Mike | May 31, 2002 09:49 AM

Can anyone provide some ideas for weekend eats please? Interests include Chinese (whole fishies on platters-Chinese menu on wall-type places), Indian, oysters or eclectic. (I recall a place in Wayzata that specializes in seafood/oysters but never made it there when it was open. Any good? can someone confirm?) Also interested in "Old Twin Cities" haunts: places like "Mama's Pizza" and its priceless mini-TV's.
But no mainline Italian please (I know it's a strong suit in TC's): I am retarded in the Italian sphere. "Pasta Shmasta" etc.
Also apart from Key's never found a really good breakfast haunt (?) where eggs pristine midwestern ones. (As they always seemed to be when I lived in St Paul early 80's)
Thanks so much for any ideas.
