Four and Twenty Blackbirds

We're thinking of ducking out of town one weekend soon on a Friday evening to try Four and Twenty Blackbirds. I have gathered from various posts on this board that many of you love the place, and it sounds charming and we'd like to try it. If we go, though, could someone recommend a place to stay? Or need we not bother? It seems just far enough out (of DC) that it might be worth making a night of it, but maybe I'm off and it would be easy to drive back after dinner. I'd love anyone's thoughts. Oh, and the more economical the better. I don't want to stay at the Red Roof, but also don't want to drop more money on the hotel than on a great dinner if we can avoid it.
