Tustin Italian - Carbonara

Wayward Biker | Dec 4, 200507:41 PM

Just an advisory after dining there last night the place on El Cam. Real is re-opened and while they (Carbonara) have yet to get their liquor license, they will cork and pour for you.

It's a bit more "upscale now" not sure about the bamboo centerpieces however the food is as good as it ever was with a few things added...and a few things missing but the bulk is the same.

Service was outstanding..we didn't have our own wine with so ... water and coffee but still excellent. He says if you've got a favorite or a small variation of their own he'll either do it on the spot or with warning can consider it seriously.

For a more quiet, relaxed or intimate experience I'd say in the Tustin/Irvine area it's very good to excellent - spoilt a bit from time in Italy and growing up near Italian families.

If you're good with or just want to give your Italian a serious go/checkup they seem not put out to have you try/learn/practice.

Of course Momma D's is also good and just down the street but while also good chow is quite a bit louder normally - to us/me
