Tuscana West ..Bad Dining Experience

Audra | Aug 16, 2005 05:19 PM

I wanted to let you all you foodies know about my dining experience last night at Tuscana West. Horrid. It was simply horrid.

We used to make a 9:30 reservation. Upon our arrival, my husband and I were greeted by grunts and groans by the waitstaff and the kitchen staff. Litterly we could hear them. When we entered the restaurant, all eyes were on us. Clearly we were perceived as a "late table" and were not at all given the same welcome as a party of 2 would have received for a 7:30 reservation.

We were seated and given menus but no wine list. My husband had to repeat our drink order to the server twice. He wrote it down and returned with the incorrect order. I had wanted a cosmopolitian with a twist of lemon. It arrived with a wedge of lime.
Our salads were fine. No complaints. Immediately finishing our salads our plates were cleared and entrees were placed in front of us. From then on we did not see our server. My husband ate his bland pasta and shrimp dish. Mine was just too awful to eat. I ordered the house specialty, shrimp stuffed with crabmeat over angel hair pasta.

The seafood was clearly not fresh and tasted as if it had freezer burn. The crabmeat was a brownish color and looked scarry. I pulled the 3 stuffed shrimp off the plate and attemped to eat the pasta. It was not hot and not very tasty. I had finished my martini and my husband had finished his cocktail as well. Both of our water glasses were empty and the only person I could see in the entire restaurant was an employee sitting at the bar smoking a cigarette.

We were highly insulted by the entire experience amd will not return to such a sad restaurant.
