Longtime listener, first time caller : )
My wife and I are in Tel Aviv for work this month, and our visit coincides with my 40th birthday. I tried to make a reservation at NOMA (http://noma.dk) in Copenhagen but alas we're stuck on a waiting list, and with only a few days away, I'm thinking we'll be eating here in TLV. So if our willingness to fly 3 hours for a single meal doesn't say enough about our aspirations for a great dinner here, well... let me just say that my wife is an incredible (professional) chef. We've been here a month already, and have had some excellent meals at places like Joz ve Loz, DOK, and North Abraxas... but we'd like to go all the way.
We've gotten a wide array for suggestions from friends here: Basta, Cafe Europa, Mizlala... they all look like good candidates, but I'm wondering if there isn't something above and beyond??
Many thanks for your thoughts...
