Help-how to turn a mediocre cake into a bread pudding?

margib | Nov 24, 201309:11 AM

Hi-I made some pumpkin chocolate bars that were just okay. My plan was to freeze some until turkey day but they are pretty cakey and I think they will be dried out by then. Plus, it turns out they just aren't celebration worthy. I am mulling over turning them into some kind of bread pudding. There is about an 8 inch square left so I think I might have to augment them with another filling. Anyone have any suggestions for a custard and additional filling (was thinking maybe donuts?) that would turn mediocre into awesomeness. Any other re-use ideas would be great. Used real pumpkin so kind of hate to waste the whole thing...Thanks
