Turmerik is a wonderful place to meet friends and eat. General manager Brian Joseph will take you by the hand and lead you to gastronomic nirvana. He has a very good idea in advance what people will want to eat and sharefamily style if you so choose. So we chose to go with him and it paid off.

Started with the non-veg (Seekh Kebab, Tandoori Salmon, Kalmi Kebab and Saffron Chicken) and veg (Vegetarian Seekh Kebab, Achari Paneer and Tandoori Vegetables) appetizer platters which were a popular opening salvo. Accompanied by mint, mango and tamarind chutneys, the many and generously portioned items were without exception, savory, beautifully prepared and presented.

We dined on the entrees family style with nann baskets bursting with pea ,onion and garlic flavors acting as our anchors for sopping up the blazing sauces in which the most deilicious morsels of shrimp, chicken and lamb chop (Lamb Chop Masala, Coconut prawn and chicken tikka masala) were serenely suspended. The saffron rice was airy and mixed beautifully with each entree.

The mango martini was a bit sweet but not off puttting. Brian is very much willing to do wine pairings appropriate to the cuisine.
