I bought a case of albacore tuna from the Tuna Guys after reading about them on Chowhound.
Yummmm! Good tuna!
But I had been doing some tidying and ran across some small cans of Trader Joe's skipjack in water (which I used to find perfectly acceptable), so I tossed one in my bag for lunch at work today.
I opened it up -- it didn't look very appealing, all mushy and watery. I took a bite and I almost gagged. Just to be clear: there's nothing wrong with this tuna. I managed to make it edible by doctoring it with some soy sauce.
But I think the Tuna Guys have spoiled me for "regular" tuna for life!
Has anyone tried their new "Spanish-style yellow-fin tuna"?
