A friend is coming to stay over next Tuesday evening and he's on a tight budget.
Not student eating or fast food, say $35 p/p requisite.
I'm happy to treat him to something on the lower end if anyone has recommendations for a good meal avg $25-30 without drink. Kazu is an option and what I was planning but not sure how vegtarian friendly their daily menu as it's constantly rotating. I've usually seen at least several options, I think.
Wondering if anyone has other suggestions though... I don't think he does fish at all. Strictly veg.
Was thinking Magpie could work or something like Della Nonna on Amherst or Casareccia on Sherbrooke. Any other affordable but quality/fresh/homemade Italian? I normally don't bother with these kind of places as it's something I'll frequently make at home (ocassionally do Italian only at special restaurants) so not sure what's out there. Not the most interesting cuisine to me locally.
Any good morrocan or ethnic? Chinatown is an option but a bit boring imo.
What about veg Indian in Parc Ex - Mahli, Bombay Mahal: what's best?
Last option is pho on Cote Des Neiges but hoping for some other suggestions as well.
What's a good compromise within the avg $25-35 range, preferably on the lower end of that scale?
