Tu Tai - San Leandro

Robert Lauriston | Mar 14, 2010 11:09 AM

San Leandro used to be the most white-bread place in the world, and now it's dotted with little Asian and Mexican spots. I was at an auction around the corner so I checked out this place for lunch thinking it looked likely to have good phở. Instead I got the special #1, bún bò Huế, a nice spicy noodle soup ($8 or $9), similar to phở but with a different broth. Friendly staff, seemed like lots of regulars. Good option if you're in the area.
