Tsuki - worth a try?

Tim H. | Jul 16, 2004 10:22 AM

Our baby has finally condescended to co-exist in relative peace with a babysitter (glory hallelujah!), so we're taking a much-needed night for ourselves. We'd been meaning to try out Yasu, but it apparently closed between readings of "The Wheels On The Bus", so we're a little short of ideas.

We're looking for laid-back (i.e. not too chic), upscale enough to be really fresh, but still reasonably priced. In short, we'd like to be able to do a decent omakase meal for $50 to $75 each, not including drinks.

I did a quick search of the Manhattan board, and it sounds like Tsuki is a reasonable substitute. Do people here think it fits with what we're expecting? I have a reservation at the sushi bar for tonight, and am happy to go with that if people here tell me that it's worth the shot, but if anyone has a better alternative, I'm all ears. Thanks!
