Some truth to the rumor - Patxi's in Hayes Valley

bernalgirl | Jan 17, 200509:48 AM     16

I recall a recent rumour on this board re: Zachary's coming to Hayes Valley to the old Powell's location. Turns out it's actually Patxi's, the Zachary's knock-off that has received positive reports for their Palo Alto location. I didn't see an opening date on the signs on the windows, just a "Coming Soon."

While in the neighborhood, we enjoyed brunch at Suppenkuchen. The ravioli scramble was a bit odd, but tasty. The pork loin with mushroom sauce and spaetzle was perfect comfort food, and the butter lettuce salad that accompanied the plate was a refereshing counterpoint. I haven't been here in years, and was happy to see that the quality of service and food have maintained.
