Had dinner at Truluxks in Houston tonight. Finest meal in a Chain I have ever had. I had al you can eat stone crabs. They were the best stone crabs I have ever had, and I eat a lot of Stone Crabs. if ever you could describe stone crabs as fall of the. Bone, that would describe these. perfectly cooked, unbelievably fresh and the claw meat did not stick to to the middle membrane.
The Caesar is outstanding and a nice variation with a wedge of romaine that you cut with a steak knife. anchovey filet included.
the clam chowder was the only sub par item. A great seafood restaurant had best serve a bold Clam chowder. This was bold if big chances of potato stands out. And seafood crackers were placed over the top, combining with the potatoes to completely over starch the poor few clams.
The mustard sauce was decent.
The cocktail sauce tasted too much of the Heinz chili sauce that is it's main ingredient.
But ohhhh those stone crabs. Unbelievably delicious.
