Hi, We just returned from a trip around CA and stumbled on some wonderful, true Basque resturants, mostly in Bakersfield and Fresno (we were just passing through these towns). This was down-home Basque with larges portions of really good food (several courses) and rowdy bars. Is there anywhere in the Bay area that is not fancy and has this type of food? I'm doubting it, but I hope so... Thanks! The Wool Growers Restaurant in Bakersfiled was outstanding and so was Santa Fe Basque in Fresno..
