Woodpile is as good as ever, and now the outdoor tables are habitable.

Atomic Chicken is very fun. Call ahead. Not cheap takeout. Some hits, some misses. Fried chicken tenderloins and waffles with various homemade sauces and relishes. The slaw is made by bruising and brining cabbage and other fresh veggies in a little salt for a day, then finishing with a drizzle of good oil and vinegar. That's perfect for me.

Bangkok Silver Bowl (had gone to h*ll) got taken over by a Thai place from Gratiot or something. I won't trash the new place by name. Just saying that I tried it last week and I'll NEVER be back. Consider yourself warned.

Crispelli's is opening on Big Beaver east of Livernois. THANK YOU!

Livernois and Maple will soon have a Hippo's rival named Mean Weenie (by Guanaco). Will try!

PS-- Mabel Gray still is as good as ever. Some day, if anybody still reads this board, I'll get off my sore back and review Peterboro (fun!).
