I posted this in the "Joints in the Twin Cities" thread, but since it was a bit late and buried, I thought I'd start a new thread.
I had brunch at the Triple Rock Social Club. I don't think there's a place in the Twin Cities that is more of a "Breakfast Joint" with great food than here.
The Triple Rock is a punk club/bar at night, but serves lunch daily and breakfast on the weekends from 10AM-3PM. Great Food (in huge portions) and cheap. The "Mother Trucker" is a sight to be seen. I had the biscuits and gravy and they were the best I've ever had.
If you don't wear black or have tattoos and piercings, don't worry - you won't feel intimidated or out of place. Plus, they boast that they can make vegan or vegetarian versions of just about everything on the menu. (One of the few exceptions was my biscuits and gravy. You could get that one vegetarian, but not vegan.)
How this place has stayed below the Chowhound radar for this long is beyond me. If there ever was a chowhound spot, this would be it.
I'll be going back to try out their dinner menu soon.
