Just returned from a five-day stay and wanted to thank you all for your help. Breakfast at Joey's was wonderful - great pancakes and the best eggs benedict ever. What about those cheesey potatoes. Nothing dietetic there!! Butts on the Creek was excellent. The pulled pork and ribs were too good. What's with the fried corn on the cob? That's one I never heard of. We had lunch and dinner at Lomo Grill in Waynesville. Delicious caeser salad with grilled salmon for lunch and an excellent seafood pasta for dinner. The highlight meal was a fabulous lunch at the Bistro at the Biltmore House. Apparently August is heirloom tomato month and there were several dishes featured on the menu. We shared a starter of grilled focaccia with fried heirloom tomatoes, smoked mozzarella and basil over baby greens with a dense and rich balsamic dressing that was amazing. The salmon and heirloom tomatoes served with a tomato reduction (coulis) was fabulous and a pasta with shrimp, tomatoes and leeks was also delicious. Of course, the fact that I love tomatoes didn't hurt. Anyway, we had a wonderful time and appreciated your recs. When you come to South Florida, I hope I can help.
