Trip report: Arcata, Trinidad and Klamath (Redwood State and National Parks)

In September, wee had a lovely road trip through Redwood country and I'd like to share some updates/finds.

In Arcata, we had a delicious dinner at Renata's Creperie: I had the chicken with mushrooms, followed by the nutella/orange crepe, flambeed with rum. Large portions (should have shared!) and light, not greasy crepes with generous fillings. Small wine list, mostly American, which I found surprising.

For dinner in Trinidad, we visited Trinidad Bay Eatery. Very old-school small town restaurant feel, but solid, simple and tasty seafood dishes. Clam chowder was rich with a nice pepper bite, and fried shrimp were cooked perfectly. Wine and beer options were limited but so cheap compared to big-city prices!

In Klamath we had dinner at Woodland Villa, a small grocery store with a pizza/café in the back. Pizzas were homemade, very cheesy, not "gourmet" at all, but good eating and huge size! We stayed at the Requa Inn, and their breakfast was very good (get the cinnamon rolls, they were excellent!). One thing to note: breakfast wasn't included in the room price, so it's not a true B&B. Requa Inn does dinners too, but not on the night when we were there, so it's worth calling and asking if you plan on going.
