Wow. People that told me the city is not an "eating city" were sure right.
There was one very bright spot- Big Apple Pizza in Sparks. Several people recommended it so we went there one evening and ordered a "deluxe" to eat there. The people are really friendly, enthusiastic and we hoped for good pizza. It was delicious! The crust especially was wonderful. There is virtually no atmosphere in the place and it is in a little strip mall but don't let that stop you from going. We talked to the pizza-making guy and it turns out he is a chef that used to work with Thomas Keller at The French Laundry in Napa! Well, no wonder the pizza was good.
The other places we ate at are not even worth mentioning- we stayed at the Siena which was terrific and we really liked the city and surrounding areas but somebody ought to open a good restaurant there!
