I will be in Montreal for training course next week, and am going early on Friday evening to spend the week-end there. I live in Toronto, and haven't been to Montreal for many years (except day trips to Osheaga). I will be staying in the Plateau ( at Laval and Duluth) at an AirBnB over the week-end, and then will be near McGill at student housing (Carrefou-Sherbrooke) the rest of the time.
A few questions for Mtl chowhounders:
-If I only hit one market, should it be Jean Talon or Atwater?
-Good places for breakfast or dinner in the plateau, that aren't too $$?
-Good dinner places near McGill? I am pretty easy, like pretty much anything except Sushi and anything too meat-centric. So far, the only recommendations that I've gotten has been for Maison Publique.
