Hey I'm on a roll now!!!
Went to Trio to celebrate my B-day recently. I read some reviews on this board and was looking for something new. We really enjoyed it.
The atmosphere was very nice and the service excellent. I had the "Trio" from the menu and thoroughly enjoyed each of the three items. It came served on a plank with three dishes and consisted of an appetizer of thinly sliced octupus and raddichio with a vinergarette, some cavatelli (I think) with a fresh tomato sauce and three of the most heavenly scallops in a light broth with some baby zuchinni and carrots. I topped it off with some panna cotta with apricot sauce. My husband had arugala pasta with a red pepper cream sauce that he oooohed and aaaahed over which is a rare moment for him. He had the tiramisu for desert and loved it. I don't recall the wine that the waiter had suggested but not being wine knowledgeable, we asked him to pick something that would go well and it was wonderful. It was red and not dry.
All in all, it was a very enjoyable evening and a good way to start on another year of good dining either from the trucks of E.L.A. or maybe next time Watergrill!!!
