Triangle: Chosun

At our recent hound gathering at Merlion there was much praise for Chosun, a Korean restaurant in Durham (2015 E. Hwy. 54). We can now add our praise to the chorus, having stopped in for dinner. We ordered a stone bowl sizzling rice dish and the BBQ pork. The food was spicy but subtle – the vegetables crisp – the meats succulent. Service was quick and friendly and prices were very reasonable. Two dishes, with the obligatory constellation of marinated vegetables, came to $30, and my wife and I left the table feeling pleasantly full. Chosun clearly improves on Korean Garden, and joins my rapidly growing hall of fame of local Asian eateries:

Udupi – Indian, Cary
Waraji – Japanese, Raleigh
Saigon – Vietnamese, Greensboro
Thai Palace – Thai, Chapel Hill
Merlion – Singoporean, Chapel Hill

This is a real find. Thanks to the hounds who mentioned it. Next on the list is Thai Villa in Cary.
