This question I had came from the Thai thread just below, so I'm spinning it off into a new one.
I was wondering what the regulations are governing bringing your own beer/wine/liquor to restaurants that don't have any kind of booze license. I posed the question to the NC Alcohol Beverage Control Commission, and they responded with:
"It is legal for patrons to bring their own beer and unfortified wine onto the premises of a retail establishment and consume those beverages with the consent of the business owner. Businesses that hold Off Premise licenses can not have consumption, however."
Can anybody add anything else to this ?
Next time I go to Thai Villa I would love to bring some beers or maybe a Gewurz.
