Triangle: More on the Barbecue Joint

Responding to raves below, I bee-lined it to the Barbecue Joint on Weavery Dairy Road and had a good but far from great meal. The cornbread and fried green tomatoes were excellent, but the lemon buttermilk pie was run-of-the mill, and the cue itself was room temperature, bland, and mushy -- not nearly as flavorful and succulent as the cue served up at Allen and Sons and The Q Shack (the latter seems better and better to me, by the way). The Barbecue Joint makes for a nice cheap local dinner option for those in the mood for meat, but I would not go farther than this. I certainly would not recommend that anyone drive down from Virginia, or up from South Carolina, or even make their way over from Raleigh.
